Trailing 44-43 with 5:53 remaining, the Mount scored the next six points to take its biggest lead of the game, 49-44, with 2:26 left.  Rachel Matthews scored back-to-back baskets on nice low-post moves to give the Mount a three-point lead, and senior Tara Lonergan closed the run with a pair of free throws.

St. Francis Brooklyn responded with a pair of Jessica Kaufman lay-ups to cut the Mount lead to 49-48 with 1:10 left.  The Mount's Sydney Henderson missed a jumper with 36 seconds left, but Lonergan came tied up Jaymee Veney on the rebound to give the Mount (12-14, 8-7 NEC) possession.

Brewer was 5-for-8 from three-point range for her team-high 15 points.  Lonergan added 12 points and a pair of blocks while Sydney Henderson chipped in nine pionts, six rebounds and four steals for the Mountaineers.
