Tim Nickas Wins Decathlon at Mount Multi's

Emmitsburg, Md. (April 19, 2013)—Tim Nickas won the decathlon at the Mount Multi's on Friday afternoon at Morgan Track on campus.

Nickas finished the two-day competition with 6,527 points to finish in the top spot in the field of 10.  Nickas opened the second day by earning 662 points in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.64 seconds.  He then added 549 points in the discus (34.28m) and had a pole vault of 4.20m for 673 points.  In the javelin, he had a toss of 49.65m for 583 points before rounding out the day with a time of 4:41.91 in the 1,500m run for 668 points.

Kristin Spera of Johns Hopkins won the heptathlon on the women's side, finishing with 3,838 points.  Kelsey Greene was fourth with 3,204 points
