Mount St. Mary's welcomes Bryant to Our Lady of the Meadows Field on Friday for a Northeast Conference doubleheader.  Game time has been moved up to 10 a.m. due to expected inclement weather later in the day.  The Mount will also be celebrating Senior Day.

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mountaineers split a doubleheader at Coppin State on Tuesday, falling 6-5 in the opening game before taking a 15-7 win in game two.  Erin Meagher hit her first collegiate home run in the Mount's 15-7 win while Emilee Kirk tallied five hits in the two games, including a three-run homer in the Mount's loss in game one.  Shelbee Holcomb continues to lead the Mount in hitting with a .407 average while Kaylee Stoner is hitting .336.  Lindsay Heinze (.328, 9 HR, 31 RBI) and Morgan Alisauckas (.329, 10 2B, 6 HR, 35 RBI) have provided the power for the Mount offense.  Katie Olson (4-3, 2.70 ERA) and Amanda Berkley (8-13, 3.23 ERA) have paced the pitching staff this season.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS:  Bryant enters Friday's doubleheader leading the Northeast Conference with a 7-1 league mark. The Bulldogs are 11-25 overall on the season.  Bryant swept FDU, 4-3 and 5-2, on April 13 their last time out.  Morgan Powell leads Bryant with a .348 average and 32 hits while Kaleigh Goulart is hitting .224 while leading the team in runs (15), home runs (3) and RBI (15).  Gabrielle Ermish is 5-8 with a 2.86 ERA to lead the pitching staff.  She is 4-0 with a 2.40 ERA in NEC play this season.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES VS. BRYANT:  The Mount is 9-9 all-time against Bryant in the series that began in 2010.  The Mountaineers are 3-5 at home and 6-4 on the road against the Bulldogs.  The Mount swept last year's doubleheader at Bryant, winning 5-1 and 7-4.  Bryant has won three of the past four meetings at the Mount's Our Lady of the Meadows Field, including a doubleheader sweep in 2017.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING VS. BRYANT:  Morgan Alisauckas homered in each game as Mount St. Mary's stretched its win streak to five with a doubleheader sweep at Bryant on April 28 last year.  The Mount won the opening game, 5-1, before taking game two, 7-3.  Amanda Berkley tossed a five-hit complete game while the Mount scored three time in the top of the first to take a 5-1 victory in game one.  Alisauckas went 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored to lead the Mount to the 7-3 win in game two.  For a full recap, click HERE.

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING:  Kaylee Stoner owns an 11-game hit streak, going 17-for-39 (.436) with 10 runs scored over that span…Stoner has reached base in each of the past 24 contests…Jessica Nines is hitting .500 (5-for-10) over the past six games…Morgan Alisauckas has four games with three or more RBI this season...She also leads the team with 14 multiple-hit games…Shelbee Holcomb has had three or more hits in a game five times this season…The Mountaineers are hitting .471 with the bases loaded this season.

HEINZE AND ALISAUCKAS MOVING UP HOME RUN CHART:  Senior Lindsay Heinze and graduate student Morgan Alisauckas continue to move up the Mount's career home run chart.  Heinze has a team-high nine home runs this year, giving her 25 for her career.  She has moved into a tied for second place on the list with Liz Christiansen (2009-13).   Alisauckas has six home runs this year, giving her 23 for her career, which is good for fourth all-time at the Mount.  Current assistant coach Rachel Heinze is the all-time leader with 43 career home runs.

HEINZE MATCHES CAREER RBI RECORD:  Lindsay Heinze has 26 RBI this season, giving her 121 over her four-year career.  Her 121 career RBI are now tied for the Mount's all-time record with cousin Rachel Heinze, who had 121 for the Mount from 2014-17.

HEINZE BREAKS CAREER DOUBLES AND RBI RECORDS:  Senior Lindsay Heinze has 31 RBI this season, giving her a school-record 126 RBI for her career, besting the old mark of 121 set by her cousin, Rachel Heinze, from 2014-17.  Heinze also owns the career doubles record after hitting a pair of two-baggers in the Mount's 11-0 win over Maryland Eastern Shore on March 13.  Heinze now has 42 career doubles, topping the mark of 39 that was set by Amanda Burk (2006-09).

LIGHTING UP THE SCOREBOARD:  The Mountaineers scored a season-high 22 runs in the Mount's 22-4 win over Coppin State in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.  The 22 runs are the most by a Mount during head coach Anna Nagro's tenure, and the most by a Mount team since a 30-0 victory over Coppin State on March 27, 2008  The Mount pounded out 19 hits in the game, with 12 different players recording at least one hit in the contest.

PRESEASON POLL:  The Mount was tabbed to finish in seventh in the annual Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.  Sacred Heart was the unanimous pick to win it all, followed by LIU Brooklyn, Saint Francis U, Central Connecticut, Bryant, Fairleigh Dickinson, the Mount, Wagner and Robert Morris.  The Mount finished tied for sixth in the NEC standings last year with a 7-9 league record.

HEAD COACH ANNA NAGRO:  Nagro is in her ninth season at the helm of the Mount softball program, the longest tenure by a head coach in the history of the program.  Nagro has led the Mount to 37 wins over the past two seasons, including 20 in 2017, the most by a Mount team since the 2010 campaign.
