The Mountaineers posted a 2-1 overtime victory over St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday to move to 4-4-0 overall and 1-1-0 mark in Northeast Conference action. Yann Kouemi scored both goals in the win over the Terriers, including the game-winner on a penalty kick with 43 seconds left in the first overtime period. Kouemi leads the Mountaineers with four goals and eight points this season while Juan Molina (1g, 2a) and Boris Nana Tonzi (2g) are second with four points each. Andrew Chwalik started the first five games in goal for the Mount while Riccardo Zonta has started the past three.
The Greyhounds enter Tuesday night's contest with a 4-6-0 overall record and a 3-1-0 mark in the Patriot League. Loyola is coming off a 4-2 win over Lafayette on Saturday. Barry Sarifi leads the team with four goals and nine points while Brian Saramago has three goals and is tied with Sarifi with nine points as well. In goal, Chase Vosvick has a 1.59 GAA and 21 saves in eight games played.
Loyola holds a 23-4-1 lead in the all-time series that began in 1954. The Greyhounds have won the past 18 matchups in the series, including a 3-1 win last season at Loyola. The Mount's last win over Loyola was a 2-0 victory on October 23, 1964.
