Mount Men's Golf in 14th Place After First Day of Hartford Hawk Invitational

FIRST ROUND INDIVIDUAL RESULTS | FIRST ROUND COMBINED RESULTS

South Kent, Conn. (September 16, 2019)--The Mount St. Mary's men's golf team is in 14th place after the first day of the Hartford Hawk Invitational, held at the Bull's Bridge Golf Club.  The Mount's Mitchell Gallo shot a two-over par 74 to lead the team in the first round.

Gallo carded a 74 to pace the Mountaineers with Joe Lostumbo shooting a 77 (+5).  Sergio Quijano Sanin made his Mount debut with an 80 while Matthew Kephart shot an 83.  Joshua Brown, competing as an individual, shot an 88 on the day.

Host school Hartford leads the tournament with a team score of 281, followed by Central Florida (285), UT-Rio Grande Valley (289), Rider (290), Seton Hall (290), TCU (291), Fairleigh Dickinson (292), Fairfield (295), Sacred Heart (295), Bryant (297), Connecticut (298), Fordham (302), Hofstra (303), Mount St. Mary's (314), Wagner (318) and St. Francis Brooklyn (320).  Hartford's Ryan Tomaso shot a six-under 66 to lead the individual standings.
