Somerset, N.J. (April 16, 2019) – Thomas Bramley was named Co-Rookie of the Week on Tuesday afternoon, as announced by the league office.
Bramley enjoyed a breakout week at the plate, recording extra-base hits in four consecutive contests. The rookie recorded multiple hits in each of Mount's four games while slugging 1.000. The Hershey, PA native started two games behind the dish and two games as the Mountaineers' designated hitter, compiling a .650 on-base percentage over that stretch. Bramley batted .588 (10-for-17) with four doubles, his first career home run, four RBI and three runs scored. The first-year Mountaineer scored one run in each of the Mount's three battles with NEC rival Fairleigh Dickinson. He reached base safely nine times during the three-game set and went 3-for-5 at the plate in Saturday's 11-10 setback before doubling and homering during Sunday's series finale.
Bramley and the Mount baseball team take on Coppin State today at 3 PM in Hanover, Md. and welcome Wagner for a Northeast Conference three game series matchup this weekend, Thursday, April 18 - Saturday, April 20.
