EMMITSBURG, Md. (December 1, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's women's basketball returns home looking for their third win in a row, along with a .500 mark for November as they welcome UMES in a pre-Thanksgiving matinee.
THE LAST TIME OUT
- Mount St. Mary's fell to the UMES Hawks last Wednesday at home, 67-59. Gabrielle Kennerly finished with 16 points, and Giana Hoddinott and Amber Bullard also posted double figures.
- Bullard also led with six rebounds and four blocks. The junior leads the Mountaineers in both categories.
- Head Coach Antoine White is in line for his 60th career victory, which he will earn for the next Mount win.
- The Mount limits opponents to 60.3 points so far this year. When allowing less than 60 per game, the team wins almost 80 percent of the time under Coach White.
SCOUTING THE TERRAPINS
- Maryland is a perfect 9-0 and ranked #7 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
- The Terrapins won two games at the Discover Puerto Rico Classic, defeating #16 Kentucky and Hofstra.
- Kaylene Smith leads a quartet of Maryland scorers averaging double figures at 13.3 points per game. Oluchi Okananwa, Addi Mack, and Yarden Garzon also average more than 10.
- On defense, Maryland limits teams to less than 60 points a game. Saylor Poffenbarger grabs the most boards with 53, or 5.9 per game.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
- Maryland has won all 11 meetings in a series that dates to 1976. Nine of the 11 games took place in College Park. Two of the contests were at a neutral site, including the 2021 NCAA Tournament First Round game in San Antonio, Texas.
