EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 29, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's men's water polo goalkeeper Sherif Hosni was named Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week by the conference office on Wednesday. Hosni shares his fifth Defensive Player of the Week award of the season with Navy Goalkeeper, Ryan Munch.
 
During this past weekend's games against Iona and George Washington, Hosni recorded 27 saves in goal while playing in all eight quarters for the Mountaineers. Hosni recorded 14 saves against the Gaels on Friday and 13 saves against the Revolutionaries on Saturday while providing an assist and recording a steal.
