Tori Krause, the eighth head coach in Mount history, led the Mountaineers to their first Northeast Conference playoff appearance in 21 seasons in her first year at the helm of the program.  Krause was announced as the head coach on March 13, 2018.

In her first season, Krause guided the Mount to a 4-2-2 record and a third-place finish in NEC play, guiding the team to the NEC Tournament for the first time since 1997.  She posted an overall record of 5-9-3 for the Mount in 2018.  Krause was an assistant coach under Joe Nemzer on the Mount’s staff during the 2017 season. She played a vital role in many different areas with the Mount, including: leading all technical aspects of training, providing game and practice organization and periodization, preparing scouting reports and film analysis, aiding in the recruiting process, and implementing technology-based analysis.

Before coming to the Mount, Krause worked as the director of performance analysis with the women's soccer program at the University of North Carolina during the 2016 season. In her role, she was responsible for practice and match analytics using Catapult GPS and ProZone analysis. Krause used the data to create daily, weekly and season game reports to enhance scouting and player and team performance.

As a collegiate student-athlete at Davidson College, Krause made 51 career appearances as a center midfielder with the Wildcats. The Cary, N.C. native graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.

After graduation, she attended the University of North Carolina where she received her Master's Degree in sport administration in the spring of 2016. While in graduate school, Krause served as a volunteer on the women's soccer coaching staff, primarily helping with practice and game analytics. Following two seasons as a volunteer on the Tar Heels' staff, Krause was named director of performance analysis for the 2016 season.

During her time at Chapel Hill, Krause also completed an internship with the UNC Athletics New Media department and with GoHeels Productions, working on office and gameday projects.
