MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mountaineers were last in action at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh on September 29.  Maddie Kole finished in 16th place while Will Merritt was 18th overall to pace the Mount St. Mary's cross country teams in the Brown Race at the Paul Short Run on Saturday.  The Mount finished ninth in the men's Brown Race while the women were 12th in the Women's Brown Race. LAST YEAR AT THE GETTYSBURG INVITATIONAL:  Nicolas Fransham captured first place to lead the Mount St. Mary's cross country teams at the Gettysburg Invitational last year.  Fransham, who topped the field of 254 runners, posted a time of 25:40.2 for the eight-kilometer course to bring home individual honors and help the Mountaineers to a second-place team finish.  Clarke Hooper was the women's top finisher as the Mountaineers finished seventh in the field of 31 schools.  Click HERE for more details.

NEC WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS:  Nicolas Fransham and Maddie Kole were each named Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week for their performance at the season-opening 5K Duals.  Click HERE for the release.

UP NEXT:  The Mountaineers will be sending athletes to the Lebanon Valley Last Chance Run Fast Invitational on Friday, October 19, before heading to the Northeast Conference Championships at Bryant University on Saturday, October 27.
