Mount Cross Country Teams Headed to Messiah Invitational on Saturday

Emmitsburg, Md. (September 21, 2018)--The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's cross country teams return to action at the Messiah Invitational on Saturday.  The Mountaineers are returning to the course for the first time since hosting the Mount St. Mary's 5K Duals on August 31 to open the season.

The Competition:  Schools expected to compete include Albright, Neumann, Cairn, Penn State harrisburg, Frostburg and Messiah.

Mount Entries:  Running for the Mountaineers for the men are:  Nathaniel Bald, Christopher Diaz, Paul Fagnano, Nathaniel Fechtig, Killian Hayes, Andrew Jackson, Brandon Nichols, Collin Riviello and John Wang.  Competing for the women:  Destiny Boone, Sara Chepkoit, Melissa Cole, Clarke Hooper, Erin Jaskot, Alexandra Kay, Grace King, Ashleigh Kocher, Maddie Kole, Stella Noecker and Adria Pirozzi.

Results:  Results will be available on www.gomessiah.com and at www.mountathletics.com.

Mount Update:  The Mountaineers return to action for the first time since opening the year by hosting the Mount St. Mary's 5K Duals on August 31.  Nicolas Fransham finished third overall to lead the Mount men's team while Maddie Kole finished fifth overall.  Click HERE for a full recap.  Video Highlights here.
