ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team was blanked by Navy 7-0 last Sunday. The Mount falls to 0-3 on the year with the loss while Navy jumps to 7-3 with the win.

In singles competition, Navy took all six flights without allowing Mount St. Mary's to force a third tie-breaker set to win the match. Alexa Quintanilla almost scored the Mountaineers' only point of the match but Aimee Dervishian edged her in two close sets that went back and forth, 7-5, 7-6.

The Midshipmen had no problem in doubles action as well, picking up wins in all three flights to earn the doubles point. With the doubles point win on Sunday, Navy has now took the doubles point in the last four matches.

BARRET ELKINS MAKES COACHING DEBUT
Elkins came to the Mount after spending last season as the head coach at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he led both the men's and women's programs to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Both the men's and women's squads went unscathed in the conference tournament, winning every match played during their title runs. Following the historic season for both MSU teams, Elkins was honored with RMAC Men's and Women's Coach of the Year honors.
