A WORD FROM THE COACH
"I am excited to get our spring season started, said Head Coach Barrett Elkins." We had some very good individual results in the fall and I hope we can have the teams continue the momentum into the spring. We have several tough early matches which will be great to help us see where we stand against regional opponents. I always look forward to getting back to completion after the Christmas break."

ABOUT THE MOUNT MEN
In the last tournament of the fall season, two Mountaineer duos claimed second place in the final day of the Navy Gold Invite. Alonso Garcia and Gabriel Santos tabbed second place in the Flight A Red Draw while Evan Hine and Jean Armstrong grabbed second place in the Flight B Red Draw. The Mount duo of Garcia and Santos squeaked by St. Joe's Luis Janko and Dan Tan 7-5 in the Semifinals of the Red Draw in Flight A that moved them into the championship match. In the first place matchup, Garcia and Santos were topped 6-3 by Morgan State's Shrey Gupta and Nihit Rawal. In the Red Draw of Flight B, Hine and Armstrong downed St. Joe's Scott Battaglia and Alex Macneil 6-4 in the Semifinals but the Mountaineer team dropped the first place matchup 7-5 to La Salle's Colin Lucius and Conner Merrill.

ABOUT THE MOUNT WOMEN
The last tournament of the fall season, the Mount Invitational was cancelled due to court conditions after rain, so the last tournament that the Mountaineer women participated in was the Temple Invite in mid-October. The Invitational was comprised of four teams, Mount St. Mary's, Temple, Morgan State, and Villanova. In the tournament, Mount junior Hannah Davis picked up a singles win against Morgan State, 6-4, 6-2. In doubles action, Davis and Alexa Quintanilla topped Temple's Chen and Xiang 6-4. Taylor Cook and Megan Smith defeated a Villanova duo 6-2 during the first day of competition. In the final day of the tournament, the Mount St. Mary's duo of Emma Blake and Mia Pittman took down a duo from Morgan State, 6-4.

Both the men's and women's squads went unscathed in the conference tournament, winning every match played during their title runs. Following the historic season for both MSU teams, Elkins was honored with RMAC Men's and Women's Coach of the Year honors.
