Women’s Swimming & Diving Closes Out Day Two of NEC Championships in Seventh Place

Cambridge, Mass. (February 16, 2017) – The Mount St. Mary's University women's swimming & diving team closed out the second day of the Northeast Conference Championships in seventh place.

Maggie deTar posted the Mount's top individual finish of the night, placing ninth in the 500 free with a time of 5:02.39, while Bridget Vaughan took 16th place in the event in 5:12.95.

In the 50 free, Amanda Moore led the way for the Mount as the senior posted a time of 23.91 for an 11th-place showing. Maddie McGraw claimed the team's next best time in the 50, clocking in at 24.80.

Juliette Lacoste and Lauren Gullickson registered the Mount's top times in the 200 IM. Lacoste clocked in at 2:13.33 while Gullickson finished with a time of 2:17.76.

In the 200 free relay, the Mount's 'A' squad of deTar, Colette Robinson, McGraw and Moore posted a seventh-place showing in 1:37.91.

The Mountaineers return for day three on Friday, February 17. Action begins with the prelims at 10 a.m. and finals heats at 6 p.m.
