Women's Swimming & Diving Wraps Up Day One of NEC Championships

Cambridge, Mass. (February 15, 2017) -- The Mount St. Mary's University women's swimming & diving team wrapped up day one of the Northeast Conference Championships on Wednesday night at the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center on the campus of MIT. After the opening pair of relay events on day one, the Mount sits in a tie for sixth place with 50 team points.

The Mountaineers opened the night with a sixth-place showing in the 200 medley relay as Maddie McGraw, Lauren Gullickson, Amanda Moore and Maggie deTar combined to post a time of 1:47.64. The Mount's 'B' relay squad consisting of Morgan Runk, Alyssa Felos, Haley Vogt and Colette Robinson registered a time of 1:52.14.

In the 800 free relay, Juliette Lacoste, Mary Lombardi, Bridget Vaughan and Sarah Bonson clocked in at 7:54.07 to earn a seventh-place finish.

Day two of the championships begin on Thursday, February 16 with the prelims set for 10 a.m. and finals heats at 6 p.m. Watch live at NECFrontRow.com.
