Lancaster, Pa. (November 20, 2016) – The Mount St. Mary's University women's swimming & diving team wrapped up the final day of competition at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Sunday, finishing third out of 13 teams with 911 team points. Delaware (1667 points) won the invite, edging out Washington & Lee (1591) in second.
Senior Amanda Moore won her second individual event of the invite, claiming first place in the 100 free with a time of 51.59. Moore owns the school record in the event (51.19), which she set at last year's F&M Invitational.
Freshman Maggie deTar registered the Mount's other top finish on day three, finishing second in the 500 free in 5:05.80. Bridget Vaughan won the 'B' finals in the event and placed ninth overall with a time of 5:10.38. Morgan Runk also won the 'B' finals in the 200 back, posting a time of 2:08.89.
Sarah Bonson registered a pair of top-10 finishes on the final day, notching an eighth-place showing in the 200 fly (2:09.48) and finishing 10th in the 200 IM (2:12.50).
The Mountaineers are off from competition until the spring semester when they open with a meet at La Salle on January 27.
