Mount Women’s Swimming & Diving Sits in Third Place Following Day One of Franklin & Marshall Invitational

RESULTS

Lancaster, Pa. (November 18, 2016) – Mount St. Mary's University swimmers registered three of the top six finishes in the 1650 free to highlight day one at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The Mount sits in third place at the end of the first day with 208 team points, trailing only Delaware (282 pts.) and Washington & Lee (263).

The Mount finished 3-5-6 in the 1650 free, led by Bridget Vaughan's third-place showing with a time of 17:55.67. Maggie deTar placed fifth in 18:05.12, and Mary Lombardi took sixth with a time of 18:06.15 as the Mountaineers claimed three of the top-six finishes.

In the final event of the night, the Mount's 'A' squad took fourth place in the 400 medley relay. Maddie McGraw, Lauren Gullickson, Amanda Moore and deTar teamed up to swim the 400 in 4:00.00 flat to collect 52 points for the squad.

Maddie McGraw, Morgan Runk, Colette Robinson and Juliette Lacoste posted the team's top finish in the 200 free relay, clocking in at 1:40.66 for a ninth-place showing.

The Mount returns to the pool tomorrow (Nov. 19) for day two beginning with preliminary heats at 9 a.m.
