ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mountaineers dropped a 4-2 decision at the hands of Central Michigan last time out to fall to 3-6 overall on the year. The team's three wins came in the opening four games of the campaign, as they defeated Loyola (3-1), Howard (4-1) and Hampton (4-1) for a stretch that marked the program's best-ever start to a season through four games.
Junior midfielder Jenna West has led the Mount's offense, and is tied for the Northeast Conference lead in both goals (5) and points (12). Kayla Hughes, Marcella Fegler and Jaylyn Chandler have helped pace the team's attack with two goals apiece. Maggie Barron has started seven of the nine games in goal, posting a 2.14 goals against average and .559 save percentage.

SCOUTING DELAWARE STATE
The Hornets are still looking for their first win of the season after opening the year at 0-9. Last week, they dropped contests to George Washington (4-1) and Temple (8-0). Kayleigh Leschinski, Daijah Norris and Julia Detwiler share the team lead with a goal apiece.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Mount owns a 5-3 all-time advantage over Delaware State, but the Hornets have won each of the last three meetings. A season ago, Delaware State posted a 1-0 shutout victory over the Mount.
