ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount's roster consists of 13 freshmen, three sophomores, four juniors, six seniors and four graduate students. Besides the freshmen, Coach Douglas has added four new athletes to her roster as well. Izzy Durkin is a junior from Darnestown, Maryland, Jordan Carpenter is a senior from Hagerstown, Maryland, Julie Crochet is a graduate student from Castres, France, and Lauren Judkins is a graduate student from McMinnville, Tennessee. Along with the four new athletes, the Mount is bringing back 14 players from last season's roster including NIRA All-American Jordan Butcher. Click here to learn more about the 2018-19 Mountaineers.

The Mount St. Mary's women's rugby team was downed by West Chester 39-19 last Saturday. Ubaida AhmedCitlali Villegas, and Hanna Rojas-Rhodes each scored a try for the Mount in the loss while Maya Grassi added one conversion kick. West Chester's Lauren Madeline led the Golden Rams with three tries on the day.

SCOUTING THE NOR'EASTERS
Sacred Heart defeated the University of New England women's rugby team 50-5 last Saturday afternoon in Fairfield, Conn. The Pioneers took an 18-0 lead at the half. Isabelle Cuddy had two tries for Sacred Heart in the period. The lead was extended to 30-0 at the 16:36 mark of the second. Caitlin Paredes found the touch line for the Nor'easters at 21:10 in the second half to make the score 30-5. Cuddy led all players with three tries while Ariana Heonis and Madison Gorrigan each added two scores.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH NEW ENGLAND
This will be the first all-time meeting between the Mountaineers and the Nor'easters since the Mount became a Division 1 program last year.
