Gardenhour Leads The Mount at Hoya Invitational with 19th-Place Finish

Beallsville, Md. (April 9, 2019) – Sophomore Olivia Gardenhour led the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team at the Hoya Invitational with a 19th-place finish, as the Mountaineers closed out competition with the final round on Tuesday from Four Streams Golf Club.

Gardenhour, who entered the day in 28th place, moved up nine spots after firing a 74 (+2) in her final round. The sophomore posted rounds of 77 (+5) and 83 (+11) the previous day, and finished with a total of 234 (+18) at the event.

Freshman Michaila Cheung finished in 40th place after closing things out with an 85 (+13) on the final day. Cheung shot rounds of 87 (+15) and 79 (+7) on Monday, and totaled a 251 (+35) in her three rounds.

The Mountaineers next head to the Northeast Conference Championships at LPGA International spanning April 12-14.
