Mount Bowling in ITC Sectionals Cut After Day One

Addison, Illinois (March 9, 2019) – The Mount St. Mary's women's bowling team currently holds the final advancers spot at the Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) Sectionals qualifier in Addison, Illinois, sitting in fourth place out of 19 teams. The Mount tallied a total pin-fall of 6,264 (195.75 average) over the course of 32 baker games.

Fresh off her ISC national berth, freshman Rebecca Dodson led the way for the Mount with a 21.66 baker frame average. Freshmen Barbara Hawes and Danielle Milo also had huge days with baker frame averages of 20.41 and 19.82, respectively. Freshmen Tamera Stanton and Ashley Santos rounded out the scoring for the Mount with baker frame averages of 18.84 and 18.27.

"The goal for today was to enter Sunday in a good position to make it out of our sectional," said Head Coach Kenneth DeGraaf. "We did just that, and tomorrow is all about riding this momentum for 32 more baker games. We have to continue to not let up and have a one shot at a time mentality. If we do that, I am confident in our ability to advance."

Competition will resume tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. with 32 more baker games to complete the 64 baker game tournament. All competition will be streamed live at BowlTV.com.
