Mount Track Closes Out Competition at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. (April 27, 2019)--The Mount St. Mary's track and field teams concluded the Penn Relays today.  Carter Nave finished in second place in the College Pole Vault division to pace the Mount performances on Friday and Saturday.

Today, Brian Sagendorf finished ninth in the javelin with a throw of 58.11m (190' 7") while the women's 4x800m relay team of Clark Hooper, Destiny Boone, Maddie Kole and Erin Jaskot finished in eighth place with a time of 9:25.93.

On Friday, Nave finished second in the pole vault, clearing 4.85m (15' 11").  Teammate Colin Waitzman was ninth, clearing 4.55m (14' 11").  Justin Kimble finished 14th in the 100m dash with a time of 10.74 seconds

The men's distance medley relay team of Isaac Kole, Branden Roach, Brandon Briscoe and Benjamin Finnigan finished 16th with a time of 10:21.67.  Sam Shinn placed 44th in the shot put with a toss of 14.22m (46' 7.75"), Matthew Selba 28th in the discus (41.61m (136' 6").
