The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams return to the track at the Colonial Relays hosted by The College of William and Mary on April 4-6 in Williamsburg, Va.

THE COMPETITION: 54 men's teams and 52 women's teams, covering all three NCAA Divisions as well as the NAIA and NJCAA.

MOUNT UPDATE:  Justin Kimble broke the school record in the 100m dash to lead the Mount track and field teams last weekend.  Kimble's time of 10.40 seconds in the 100m broke the 47-year old record set by Tony Ambush (10.44c) in 1972.    Click HERE for a full recap.

NEC WEEKLY HONORS:  Justin Kimble, Kayla Barnes and Rene Rosso were all recognized by the Northeast Conference (NEC) with weekly honors on Wednesday. Kimble was named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week, Barnes earned Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors, and Rosso claimed the Women's Rookie of the Week Award. Click HERE for the full release.

SAM ADAMS COMBINED EVENTS INVITATIONAL:  The Mount is also sending four athletes to the Sam Adams Combined Events Invitational which will be held at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif., on April 5-6.  Christopher Gabor will compete in the decathlon while Kenna Hopkins, Delaney McKnight and Rene Rosso will compete in the heptathlon.

 

UP NEXT:  The Mountaineers have a busy week next week, hosting the Mount Multi's on April 11-12 while sending athletes to the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational, the Messiah Invitational and the Bucknell Outdoor Classic as well.
