Mount Indoor Track and Field Heads to ECAC/IC4A Championships

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS | LIVE RESULTS

The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's indoor track and field teams are sending 15 athletes to compete at the ECAC-IC4A Championships held at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.

MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mountaineers last competed at the Northeast Conference Championships where the Mount women's team won its first title in 22 years while the men's team earned a sixth-place finish.  The Mount women cleaned up in the individual awards with Erin Jaskot winning MVP honors, Kayla Barnes Most Outstanding Performer (Sprints), Erin Sample Most Outstanding Performer (Throws) and Dominique Jeffery Co-Rookie of the Meet.  Jaskot is the first Mountaineer to win MVP honors at the NEC Indoor Championships since Heather Moul in 1998.  Jeffery is the third Mountaineer to win NEC Rookie of the Meet honors, joining Barnes (2018) and Ashley DeCruise (2008).  Click HERE for the full release.

LAST YEAR AT THE ECAC-IC4A CHAMPIONSHIPS:  The Mount had seven athletes earn All-East honors last year at the ECAC-IC4A Championships.  Individually, D.J. Workcuff, Justin Kimble and Rachel Finn all earned All-East honors for a top eight finish.  Kimble finished fourth in the 200m dash, Workcuff fifth in the heptathlon and Finn fifth in the pole vault.  In addition, the women's 4x400m relay team of Mariah McLane, Chardane Logan, Chalys Caruth and Clarke Hooper earned All-East honors after finishing in seventh place at the meet.

UP NEXT:  The Mount opens the 2019 Outdoor Track and Field season at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 14-16 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
