LAST YEAR AT THE NEC INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: The Mount St. Mary's men's team finished in third place and the women's team in fourth at last year's NEC Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex.  It was the best finish by the Mount's men's team at the NEC Indoor Championships since winning the title in 1998.  Justin Kimble, Kayla Barnes, Brenden Chavis, D.J. Workcuff and the women's 4x400m relay team all took home gold medals at the meet.  Barnes was named the Women's Most Outstanding Rookie Performer while Kimble was named the Men's NEC Most Outstanding Track Performer (Sprints).  Barnes became just the second Mountaineer to win NEC Rookie of the Year honors on the women's side, joining Ashley DeCruise in 2008.  For a full recap, click HERE.
