Mount Track Has Solid Day at Bucknell Mini Meet

The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's track and field teams had a successful day at the Bucknell Mini Meet on Saturday.  The Mount had seven first-place finishes at the meet.

Leading the way were Tommy Gruschow and Chris Swisko, who finished first and second respectively, in the mile run, each with an IC4A qualifying time.  Gruschow won the event in a time of 4:17.06 while Swisko was right behind at 4:17.74.

On the women's side, Helena Leyrer won the 60m hurdles while Genamarie McCant took home first place in the 300m dash.  Megan Schott captured first palce in the 3000m run (10:44.12) while the 4x400m relay team of McCant, Leyrer, Kelsey Greene and Katie Crumbaugh also finished in first.

Chantel Lipkins won the long jump with Teika Robinson placiong second in the triple jump and third in the long jump.  Morgan Ostasewski was second in the weight throw as well.

For the Mount men, Coby Rosemier-Gussio won the long jump with a leap of 6.94m while Daniel Santalla was second in the 60m hurdles.
