MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mountaineers are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Wagner on Senior Day this past Sunday.  The Mount took the opener, 2-1, in nine innings before capturing a 10-9 victory in game two.  Amanda Berkley tossed a complete-game four hitter in the opening game while the Mount's four seniors (Morgan Alisauckas, Devon Hutchins, Shea McFarland and Marian Ruf) combined to go 8-for-15 with five RBI and four runs scored in game two.  Lindsay Heinze leads the Mount with a .304 average, eight doubles, six home runs and 25 RBI while Morgan Alisauckas is hitting .301 with seven doubles, four home runs and 14 RBI.  Katie Olson leads the pitching staff with a 4-4 record and a 4.40 ERA in 68.1 innings of work.

ABOUT BRYANT:  Bryant was edged by Rhode Island, 2-1, on Thursday, to fall to 12-27 on the year.  The Bulldogs are currently tied for fourth in the Northeast Conference with a 6-6 record.  Rachel Monroe is hitting .303 with three home runs and 19 RBI while Jessica Gradillas has a team-high four home runs.  Bryant has four pitchers with 40 or more innings this year with Logan Paul (5-4, 5.29 ERA) and Gabrielle Ermish (3-8, 5.30 ERA) leading the group.

ALL-TIME SERIES: Bryant holds a 9-7 lead in the all-time series with the Mount that began in 2010.  The Bulldogs swept last year's doubleheader at the Mount, and Bryant has won seven of the past nine meetings between the two teams.  The Mountaineers are 4-6 all-time on the road against Bryant, including a doubleheader split in 2016.

LAST YEAR'S MEETINGS:  Bryant held the Mount bats in check in a doubleheader sweep on Senior Day at Our Lady of the Meadows Field last season.  Bryant took game one, 4-0, before posting a 2-1 win in nine innings in game two.  Rachel Heinze hit her 14th home run of the season and 40th of her career for the Mount's lone run on the day.  Click HERE for a full recap.

ABOUT CENTRAL CONNECTICUT:  The Blue Devils dropped a non-conference matchup to Fairfield, 14-4, in five innings on Thursday.  Central Connecticut is in third place in the NEC with a 7-5 mark.  Brittany Camara leads the team with a .315 average while Sydney Bolan (.302, 6HR, 17 RBI) and Lex Debrosse (.300, 5HR, 23 RBI) have been the top power hitters.  Peyton Silverman (6-8, 2.56 ERA) and Emily Sargent (7-11, 3.38 ERA) are the team's top two pitchers.

ALL-TIME SERIES:  Central Connecticut holds a 22-16 lead in the all-time series with the Mount that began in 1999.  The teams split a doubleheader at the Mount last year.  The Blue Devils have won eight of the past nine matchups in the series, and are 13-7 all-time at home against the Mount.  The Mount's last win in New Britain was a 3-1 victory on April 1, 2012.

LAST YEAR'S MEETINGS:  The Mount split a twinbill at home with Central Connecticut last year, winning the opener, 1-0, before falling, 11-1, in five innings in game two.  Sam Lichtner tossed a complete-game four-hit shutout in game one with the Mount scoring its lone run on a Rachel Heinze RBI single.  In game two, the Mount's lone run came on a Morgan Alisauckas solo home run.   Click HERE for a full recap.

LET'S TURN TWO:  The Mountaineers continue to lead all of NCAA Division I in double plays per game this season.  The Mount is averaging 0.86 double plays per game (31 DP in 36 games), ahead of Rutgers (0.73) and Pittsburgh (0.72).  The Mountaineers turned six double plays in the Mount's four games this past weekend, including two in each game of the Mount's doubleheader sweep of Wagner on Sunday.  First baseman Shea McFarland has been involved in 24 of the Mount's 31 DP's with Lindsay Heinze second with 17. 

ALISAUCKAS ON FIRE:  Senior Morgan Alisauckas has reached base in each of the past 12 games for the Mountaineers.  She is hitting .459 (17-of-37) over that stretch with a .533 on-base percentage.  Alisauckas has three doubles, a triple, three home runs and 10 RBI over the past 12 games.

BERKLEY WINS NEC ROOKE OF THE WEEK HONORS:  Freshman pitcher Amanda Berkley was named the NEC Rookie of the Week on Monday after going 3-0 with a save and a 1.70 ERA in four appearances last week.  Berkley held the opposition to just 13 hits and a .153 average in 24.2 innings of work.  She had three complete-game victories, including an eight-inning two-hitter against Coppin State (2-1) and a nine-inning four-hitter against Wagner (2-1).  Berkley pitched seven no-hit innings against Coppin State, losing her no-hit bid in the bottom of the eighth.

NEC PLAY:  The Mount's top three hitters in Northeast Conference games have been Morgan Alisauckas (.393), Shea McFarland (.367) and Kaylee Stoner (.348).  The Mount is hitting .267 as a team in NEC play.

UP NEXT:  The Mountaineers visit Delaware on May 2nd in the final non-conference matchup of the year.  The twinbill starts at 3:00 p.m.  The Mount concludes the regular season with a home doubleheader with Sacred Heart on Sunday, May 6, at noon.
