ABOUT THE COLONIALS:  Robert Morris lost a pair of NEC doubleheaders at home last weekend to fall to 17-31 overall and 7-7 in the NEC.  The Colonials were downed by Sacred Heart (1-0, 9-2) on Sunday and Wagner (10-2, 9-2) on Monday.  Robert Morris can clinch a spot in the NEC Tournament with two wins against the Mount, or with one win and a Sacred Heart victory over Fairleigh Dickinson.  Jordan Gurganus leads Robert Morris with a .391 average while Abrielle McCartney is hitting .344.  Olivia Lorusso leads the team with 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 36 RBI.  In the circle, Kaitlin Ellzy is 7-7 with a 2.66 ERA in 21 appearances while Laura Coulter is 5-13 with a 5.98 ERA in a team-high 30 appearances.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES:  Robert Morris holds a 41-8 lead in the all-time series, including a 23-1 mark in Moon Township, Pa.  Last year, the teams split a doubleheader at the Mount's Our Lady of the Meadows Field.  The Mount captured the opening game, 4-1, before falling in the nightcap, 9-1.  The Mount's 1-0 win over Robert Morris in 2014 snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Colonials.

LAST YEAR'S MEETING:  Sam Lichtner needed just 61 pitches in a complete game to lead the Mount to a 4-1 win the opening game of last year's twinbill at Our Lady of the Meadows Field.  Marian Ruf added a two-run home run in the game.  In the second game, Stacey Capp had four RBI over her first three at bats to lead the Colonials to a 9-1 win.  For a full recap, click HERE.

THREE TIMES A CHARM FOR HEINZE:  Senior Rachel Heinze blasted three home runs in the Mount's 17-3 win over UMBC on Wednesday.  The last Mountaineer to hit three homers in a game was Liz Christiansen, who had three in a 12-1 win over Central Connecticut on March 28, 2010.  Heinze leads the Northeast Conference with a .410 average while she is second with 17 home runs.  The senior catcher has scored a school-record 55 runs this season while her 48 RBI are just two shy of the single-season mark set by Christiansen in 2010.

20-WINS:  The Mount's 17-3 victory over UMBC gave the Mount its first 20-win season since the 2010 team finished the year with a 25-25 record.  It is just the fourth time since the Mountaineers moved to NCAA Division I that the team has won 20 or more games in a season.  The 2006 team set the school record with a 31-25 campaign in 2006 while the team went 25-25 in 2010 and 21-36 in 2008.
