Mount St. Mary's Freshman Kaylee Stoner Named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week

April 3, 2017--Mount St. Mary's University freshman Kaylee Stoner (Hummelstown, Pa.)  has been named the Northeast Conference women's softball Rookie of the Week.  Stoner hit .400 for the Mountaineers during a 3-1 week.

Stoner went 6-for-15 (.400) at the plate with three doubles, three runs scored and three RBI to help the Mount to a sweep over Coppin State and a split with LIU Brooklyn.  In the doubleheader sweep versus Coppin State, Stoner went 4-for-7 with a pair of doubles.  She followed with a 2-for-5 day with a double and three RBI in the Mount's 9-4 extra-inning victory over LIU Brooklyn in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday.

For the season, Stoner is hitting .367 with four doubles and nine run scored in 27 games.

The Mount softball team is back in action tomorrow with a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader at Morgan State.
