MOUNT UPDATE: Mount St. Mary's enters the doubleheader on Wednesday with a 6-18 record after going 1-4 at the Mount St. Mary's Invitational this past weekend. The Mount lost three one-run games over the weekend, including an 8-7 loss to Cornell and a 7-6 loss to Morgan State on Sunday. Rachel Heinze leads the team with a .370 average, seven home runs and 24 runs scored. Lindsay Heinze is hitting .364 while Morgan Alisauckas is hitting .319 with a team-high 17 RBI. Sam Lichtner has been the top pitcher, going 4-5 with a 4.32 ERA in 60.0 innings pitched.
ABOUT THE EAGLES: Coppin State enters the doubleheader with a 3-20 record after a 1-2 mark against Maryland-Eastern Shore this past weekend. Cayla Brown leads Coppin State with a .351 average while Megan Narvaez is hitting .314. Madison Didion has started 14 of the team's 23 games, posting a 3-10 record in 71.1 innings of work.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES: Mount St. Mary's holds a 28-5 lead in the all-time series with Coppin State. The Mountaineers have won the past six meetings, including all four last year. Jessica Greenewald hit .667 (8-for-12) in the four games against Coppin State last year while Rachel Heinze hit .500 (6-for-12) with three home runs and seven RBI.
