MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team was topped by Bucknell 4-0 last Wednesday afternoon on the Bison's Varsity Tennis Courts. The Bisons cliched the match victory by taking the first three flights of singles competetion. The number four, five, and six flights did not finish because the match had already been clinched by Bucknell. In doubles action, the Bison recorded the point from doubles competition after they won the number two and number three flights. The first flight went unfinished because the point from doubles had already been decided.

Jackson Wood finished his sophomore regular season campaign tied for the team high in singles flight victories with 11 and added 14 doubles flights wins which was good for second best on the team. Sophomore Parth Sharma led the team in doubles competition with 16 wins to finish the 2018-19 regular season. Alonso Garcia put together a strong rookie season tied for the team lead in singles with 11 wins and tabbed nine doubles victories as well.

ABOUT SACRED HEART
The Sacred Heart University Men's Tennis team fell to Wagner Friday by a final score of 5-2. The Pioneers will return to action on Thursday, April 18 when the Pioneers will compete at the Northeast Conference Championships.

First year William Wibmber continued his dominate conference play as he picked up his third straight NEC victory in singles play defeating Anatolly Lashkul 7-5, 7-6 (6). Meanwhile junior Chris Sause picked up a win in singles play defeating Han Ohrner 5-7, 7-6 (6), 10-7. In doubles the duo of junior Seiji Hosokowa and William Wibmer defeated Dale Sandy and Anatolly Lashkul 6-4. 

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH THE PIONEERS
Mount St. Mary's owns an 8-5 all-time record against Sacred Heart and have won three of the last four meetings between the teams. The Pioneers won the latest matchup earlier this month, 4-3 over the Mount. Jean Armstrong and Alonso Garcia led the Mountaineers with a singles match wins and doubles match wins on the day.

LAST YEAR'S CHAMPIONSHIPS
Mount St. Mary's earned the fifth seed in last year's NEC Tournament, and was defeated by four-seeded Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-2, in quarterfinal action. Bryant topped Fairleigh Dickinson in a 4-0 decision the following day in the semifinals. They met Wagner in the Championship the next day, where they won 4-0.
