ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team dropped matches to Navy and East Carolina last Saturday. In the first match of the day, the Mountaineers were downed by Navy 7-0 and in the second match of the day, the Mount was blanked by East Carolina 7-0. The Mount duo of Jean Armstrong and Evan Hine won their second doubles match in a row after they topped Navy's Andrew Hicks and Cameron Kirkpatrick 6-3 for the Mountaineers lone victory of the match. With the two losses on the day, the Mountaineers now drop to 0-3 to begin the spring season. With the wins, Navy moves to 4-2 on the year and East Carolina jumps to a perfect 4-0 this season.

BARRET ELKINS MAKES COACHING DEBUT
Elkins came to the Mount after spending last season as the head coach at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he led both the men's and women's programs to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Both the men's and women's squads went unscathed in the conference tournament, winning every match played during their title runs. Following the historic season for both MSU teams, Elkins was honored with RMAC Men's and Women's Coach of the Year honors.
