Men’s Swimming & Diving Falls at Loyola in Final Tune-Up Before ECAC Championships

Baltimore, Md. (February 4, 2017) – The Mount St. Mary's University men's swimming and diving team closed out the final meet of the regular season on Saturday, falling at Loyola by a 180-79 margin.

Andrew Quinan paced the Mount at the meet, taking first place in the 100 free with a time of 49.24, while also placing second in the 50 free as he touched the wall in 22.38.

Liam Taylor posted a first-place showing in the 500 free, clocking in at 4:56.48, Will Twizell won the 400 IM in 4:23.46, and Matt Hart posted a first-place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 2:09.09 for the team's other three victories at the meet.

Six Mountaineer swimmers have qualified for the ECAC Championships, which span March 3-5.
