Men's Swimming & Diving Falls at La Salle


Philadelphia (January 27, 2017) – The Mount St. Mary's University men's swimming & diving team returned to action for the first time of the spring semester on Friday night, falling at La Salle by a 133-55 margin.

Rookie Will Twizell highlighted the night for the Mount, placing first in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.09 as he edged out Christoff Ras of La Salle, who clocked in at 1:59.37.

Vincent Huang registered a first-place showing in the 200 breast in a time of 2:14.47, and Aidan McCormick took second with a time of 2:16.25.

The Mount's 'A' relay squad closed out the night by winning the 200 free relay as Andrew Quinan, Liam Taylor, Matt Hart and Huang clocked in at 1:37.83

The Mount is back in action tomorrow (January 28) for a meet at St. Francis Brooklyn at 1 p.m.
