Emmitsburg, Md. (November 4, 2016) – Freshmen Will Twizell and Vincent Huang combined for five individual victories, but the Mount men's swimming & diving team fell to Howard, 161-107, on Friday night at the Mount swimming pool.
Twizell registered multiple victories in his second straight meet to open his career, posting first-place finishes in the 200m fly (2:14.05), 200m back (2:12.81) and 200m IM 2:13.56. Huang claimed two more first-place showings in the 50m (31.44) and 200m (2:29.33) breaststroke events, following up his gold in the 100m breast in the season-opener last month.
Brock Cudahy also had a strong showing, taking second place in each of his three events. The rookie finished runner-up in the 50m (25.08), 100m (54.97) and 200m (2:02.37) freestyle events, following up his three-victory performance in the season-opener.
In his first-ever diving event and debut for Mount men's diving, Eiann Bulatao claimed second place in the 1-meter with a score of 64.10.
The Mount returns to action for the three-day Franklin & Marshall Invitational spanning November 18-20.
