Mount Men’s Swimming & Diving Claims Four Individual Victories in Inaugural Meet

Emmitsburg, Md. (October 8, 2016) – The Mount St. Mary's University men's swimming & diving team fell to VMI (124-71) and Manhattan (133-78) in its first-ever meet in program history on Saturday at the Mount St. Mary's Swimming Pool.

Brock Cudahy and Will Twizell paced the Mount at the meet, combining for five top-three finishes on the day, including three first-place showings. Cudahy took first place in both the 100m (54.37) and 200m (1:58.91) freestyle events, and Twizell placed first in the 200m IM (2:13.89. Twizell also claimed second place in the 100m back (1:01.75) and third in the 100m fly (1:00.42).

Vincent Huang posted the Mount's other first-place finish of the meet, taking gold in the 100m breast with a time of 1:06.89.

The Mountaineer relay squad of Cudahy, Liam Taylor, Huang and Andrew Quinan closed out the meet with a third-place showing in the 200m free relay, touching the wall in 1:43.43.

The Mount is back in action on November 4 for a meet with Howard at 5 p.m. Action will be streamed live on NECFrontRow.com
