McMahon helped shift momentum in the Mount's favor in the third quarter, tallying four of his five points in the frame. The rookie played a part in three straight goals late in the period as he scored back-to-back before assisting on Matt Haggerty's tally to bring the Mountaineers within a pair. The rookie's five points are the most by a Mount player this season.

DIPRETORO CLOSING IN ON 100
Senior attackman Chris DiPretoro has six goals in the opening four games this season, and now has 94 total in his collegiate career. With six more goals, DiPretoro would become just the 13th player in program history to reach the 100-goal milestone. Matt Warner (2003-06) is the Mount's all-time leader in career goals with 138.

SCOUTING VMI
At 2-0 with victories over Manhattan and NJIT, the Keydets have matched their best start to a season in program history. Ryan Perouty owns a team-high 12 points on six goals and six assists, and John Daniel has matched Perouty with six goals in the opening pair of games. Bejamin Stump has started both games in goal, posting a .600 save percentage and 9.00 goals against average.
