February 18, 2019--Mount St. Mary's freshman Vado Morse (Suitland, Md.) has been named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week. It is the sixth time this season that Morse has won the weekly honor. The freshman guard averaged 22.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists for the week.
Morse scored 21 points on just eight shots and added four assists in Thursday's 76-62 win over Robert Morris at Knott Arena. In addition to Morse, Malik Jefferson (twice), Nana Opoku and Dee Barnes have also been named NEC Rookie of the Week this year.
The Mountaineers are back in action at Central Connecticut on Thursday, February 21, for a 7:00 p.m.
