After the Mount (1-10) got on the board first on an Alexander jumper in the lane, Lehigh scored the next 14 points to take the early lead.  The Mount was able to use an extended 22-to-9 run over the next eight minutes to take a 24-23 advantage.  Robinson and Alexander hit back-to-back threes to start the surge, and lay-ups from Wilson and Elijah Long capped the run to give the Mount a 24-23 lead with 7:34 left in the opening half.

Wilson later hit three free throws to tie the score at 30-30.  Lehigh answered with a pair of Kempton free throws and a Pat Andree three-pointer, but the Mount's Alexander made it 35-33 with 20 seconds left in the half with his third triple of the game.  Lehigh was able to grab the momentum at the half when Kyle Leufroy buried a three-pointer at the first half buzzer.
