Mount St. Mary's Baseball Falls in Series Finale at Central Connecticut State

New Britain, Conn. (March 18, 2017) - Jared Urban recorded a multi-hit game going 2-for-4 while Seth Schubert pitched 6.1 innings giving up only one earned run but Mount St. Mary's falls 4-0 in series finale against Central Connecticut State on Sunday afternoon. 

The Blue Devils scored one run in the third, fourth, seventh, and eighth innings. Tyler Coleman singled in the bottom of the third that plated Franklin Jennings for the first run of the game. Mitch Guilmette singled later in the fourth inning scoring Ryan Costello and Central Connecticut added two more runs to finish the game 4-0. Jared Gallegher came in to record the save for CCSU pitching two innings to collect his fourth save of the season. 

Schubert (0-4) picked up the loss in the decision while Ron Grant (1-2) picked up the win pitching 7.0 shut out innings. 

The Mountaineers return to action Tuesday, March 22 at 3 pm for their home opener against George Mason.
