Duke led 4-2 following Jimmy Herron's second homer of the season before Liberty scored the game's final six runs to upend the Blue Devils, 8-4, Tuesday afternoon at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
The Mountaineers and Bluedevils have met eight times in series history with Duke holding a 7-1 advantage. The two teams haven't squared off since 2011, when Duke earned a pair of victories, 2-1and 4-1.
The Mountaineers will head to Savannah State for a three game series March 9,10 and 11. First game will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday.
