Kiet Luong enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Mount men's and women's swimming & diving programs in 2018-19. While coaching, Luong will also be working towards a Master’s Degree in Sports Management.
Prior to joining the Mount, Luong spent two years as an assistant coach at the Metrowest Stingrays YMCA, where he helped lead the team to top-five finishes at the New England YMCA Championship. He also coached five swimmers to the YMCA Nationals.
Luong, a Boston native, comes to the Mount after graduating from Regis College in the spring of 2017, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. As a swimmer for the Regis Pride, Luong was a four-time New England Champion, 23-time GNAC Champion, a four-time member of the GNAC All-Conference Team, and a multiple ECAC finalist and NCAA Championship “B” qualifier. Luong was also a four-time team MVP and a four-time recipient of the Regis Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year Award. Luong finished his college swimming career holding 14 of the 23 school records.
