Mount St. Mary's Swimming & Diving Teams Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

Norfolk, Va. (June 21, 2017) – The Mount St. Mary's University men's and women's swimming & diving teams have received College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America recognition, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. To earn the honor, teams must have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the spring 2017 semester.

The Mount St. Mary's women team ranked 40th in the nation and was first in the Northeast Conference. In total, 720 teams representing 443 institutions earned Scholar All-America recognition with a 3.0 or higher GPA this past semester.

CSCAA Executive Director Joel Shinofield cited Mount St. Mary's's success, noting: "Coach Neil Yost has done an exceptional job of extending Mount St. Mary's academic success to the mens program." We are very fortunate to have schools like Mount St. Mary's and people like President Trainor and Director of Athletics Lynne Robinson who support these exceptional student-athletes."
